"When Stupidity Pays Off"
Welcome to the first monthly FIXT Newsletter. We are really excited about all the artists and partnerships that have been developing in the recent months and even more excited about what is to come in the year ahead.
There are multiple purposes of this newsletter. First and foremost to keep all of our artists informed and updated of events and opportunities. Secondly to inform fans new and old of the activities surrounding our artists and company. We strongly believe in a sense of community and we hope to facilitate not only the internal growth of FIXT, but the careers and goals of each member of our network.
So you may be asking yourself - what exactly is FIXT Music? FIXT is the independent record label of electronic-rock artist Klayton of Celldweller (credits include Spider-man 2 & 3, Superman Returns, C.S.I., Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Crackdown, etc...). Fixt is also a Film/TV Licensing entity as well as a growing network of independent artists, many with an existing list of impressive credentials. The company was born from the desire to create a network of artists, bringing together collaborations, remixes, film/tv music placements, other unique production opportunities and ultimately empowering independent artists to break away from the traditional archaic record-deal scenario.
As a company, FIXT is taking steps to become a home for artists and fans alike, where artists can collaborate with artists (i.e. - Remorse Code remixes Celldweller & lands end title theme in The Hills Have Eyes 2), fans can interact with artists (i.e. - upcoming FIXT Remix Communty where artist's tracks will be available to fans & remixers to re-mix, vote on & win prizes, progressing on the existing Celldweller remix competition concept - www.Remix.Celldweller.Com) as well as enabling and encouraging the discovery of new music (i.e. - upcoming FIXT Store where fans can purchase digital downloads, t-shirts & other merch from all the FIXT artists).
After years as a struggling artist, Klayton was rewarded for his persistance as he emerged a player in the world of Film/TV/Video Game licensing.
"I've been too dumb to quit when there have been innumerous times in my career when it would have made sense to. Thank God I’m dumb, because it’s finally paid off." (Klayton)
Klayton discovered that he had the ability to thrive in a floundering and jaded music industry. His success in the Film/TV/Video Game world, which constantly requires new and compelling music, initially led him to create FIXT to bring together like minded musicians and allow them to get plugged into it.
As a label FIXT is already busy at work, developing several upcoming artists, who will be announced in the coming months. As a Film/TV Licensor, we are proud to be partnered with one of the leading music publishers in the industry - Position Music. Through this strategic partnership, we are placing both Artist tracks and Production Music into heavy Film/TV circulation.
As the artist relations & label manager, I'm available to answer any questions you may have or discuss new business partnership opportunities.
Best
James Rhodes

FIXT Music recently serviced music for Season 3 of Criss Angel's A&E series Mindfreak. Expect to hear FIXT material in the upcoming season and beyond.
The opportunity for FIXT to work on Mindfreak comes from Klayton's previous collaborative work with Criss. Klayton has written, produced, recorded and mixed more than 3 discs of music with Criss, including the Mindfreak Season 2 Theme. Klayton also co-produced the Mindfreak CD soundtrack and appeared with Criss in the Mindfreak Music Video.
Famed Drum & Bass/Dubstep guru Mark Caro, aka Technical Itch, recently joined the FIXT Music team of production artists.
Over the years Tech Itch has played an influential part in the worldwide Drum and Bass scene. Mark is widely renowned for his genius level of production and programming. His original tracks have pushed the bar in Drum and Bass because of their unique cinematic style, heavy bass stabs and of course the ever present amen break.
Since the very beginning of Mark’s music career he has worked closely with America’s premier Drum and Bass figure, DJ Dieselboy, on a number of projects and remixes. Currently, you can catch a glimpse of their music video for their original track Atlantic State in the new Michael Mann movie, Miami Vice and their remix of ‘Hooked’ by Dom & Gridlok is devasting clubs and events the world over. Even celebrity Drum and Bass head, Goldie has partnered up with Technical Itch, having produced the film soundtrack for Goldie’s forthcoming movie project. Other recent collaborations include the Tech Freak imprint with Freak/Obscene label owner Dylan and working with film composer Don Davis on a track for the Animatrix series.
FIXT is proud to welcome Tech Itch to the team, as well as bring a world class disc of Drum 'n Bass/Dubstep production tracks to the Film/TV world. Our first production disc featuring Tech Itch should be available for licensing by Fall 2007.

Klayton has been staying busy at work on a new Celldweller full length release. Musically, the album has been near completion for a while, but lately Klayton has been focusing on finalizing lyrics and themes, most recently with the song "Eon" as well as other tracks in progress "The Best It's Gonna Get" & "Birthright."
In the process of finalizing all written & demo'd elements of the album to take into The Method House Studios and record the actual disc, Klayton has been hit with a myriad of opportunities and requests. From custom cues for movie trailers to original scores for new network TV shows, the demand for new music has come from many angles. Every effort is being put forth to create an amazing new Celldweller album and multimedia experience to pair with it.
A demo from the new album has already been licensed for a Spider-man 3 TV Spot. Watch the TV Spot

How could have I been so earthbound,
With my heart in the depths and my face in the ground?
It's time to uproot myself and move on.
