FiXT is proud to announce the signing of prolific UK Drum and Bass artist Prolix, joining the label’s roster for a full-length album expected in 2024.
Prolix will be a familiar name to most hardened Drum and Bass heads, as well as FiXT fans, with a back catalog that has seen releases on some of the most prolific and respected labels in the industry such as RAM, Playaz & Ganja Tek, VISION, Blackout, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Viper, Virus, and Shogun Audio. His unique style of production has achieved international recognition.
Today he’s united with Ethan Cronin for a unique 90s-tinged grunge rock meshed with the drum & bass single “In Your Head.”
The Track features an ethereal vocal performance at the outset, eerily reminiscent of the Deftones before thrashing guitars and heavy rhythms take over and propel the track forward into a pure rock soundscape, only to drop into drum & bass halfway through with energetic and fierce rhythms throughout. Is it in your head?
“We’re excited to welcome Prolix into the FiXT family. His pristine production and unique incorporation of guitars with drum & bass make him a perfect fit in the FiXT universe. His recent collaborative releases on FiXT with Biometrix and Voicians along with the new single ‘In Your Head’ with Ethan Cronin set the bar for an amazing full-length album to come.”
–James Rhodes (FiXT VP & Co-Founder)
“Excited to announce the addition of Prolix to the roster. “In Your Head” marries ‘90s grunge vibes with gritty, modern drum & bass to create something completely unique. Give it a spin and go follow Prolix on socials!” – Klayton (FiXT President & Co-Founder)

Prolix will be a familiar name to most hardened Drum and Bass heads, with a back catalog that has seen releases on some of the most prolific and respected labels in the industry such as RAM, Playaz & Ganja Tek, VISION, Blackout, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Viper, Virus, OWSLA/MTA and Shogun Audio. His unique style of production has achieved international recognition filling Prolix with the courage he needed to establish his own imprint in 2011; cue the birth of the mighty Trendkill Records.
As his reputation has grown, Prolix has found himself collaborating with an array of top artists from across the genre such as Noisia, Misanthrop, and Icicle, as well as remixing the likes of Chase & Status, Ed Rush and Optical, and Black Sun Empire.
It was his work for Chase & Status that led to an introduction to D&B pioneer DJ Hype which began the conception of Ganja Tek for the sole purpose of releasing his distinct sound. Since then, Prolix’s production has gone from strength to strength, securing radio support from several BBC radio DJs including Friction and Mary Ann Hobbs.
One of his most seminal releases to date was the visionary crowd-funded ‘Project Trendkill’ Album, a collaboration with Gridlok which soared to the top of the download charts and into every self-respecting DJ’s record bag the world over. Teaming up with Gridlok drew the attention of RAM Records head honcho Andy C, and their debut 12″ of ‘Membrane’ and ‘Babylon’ devastated sound systems worldwide.
Other landmark releases for Prolix include Crater on Renegade Hardware with Nocturnal, Asteroids on VISION with NOISIA, On Like That EP with MC Coppa, and the Transcendent EP on Trendkill featuring collabs with Misanthrop, Mob Tactics, Rido, Meth, and MC Coppa.
Having toured America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Prolix is well known for his high-energy, floor-filling DJ sets. As well as doing his own headline shows across Europe, he has also shared the stage with some of the top names in drum and bass including Chase & Status, Subfocus, and Pendulum.
With Trendkill continuing to gather a strong and dedicated following release after release, and since having signed to Shogun and releasing his smash debut single “Nature of Reality,” Prolix is on track to becoming one of the biggest artists in the scene.
Prolix signed to the independent multi-genre label FiXT in late 2022.
