Young Medicine drags listeners into the woods with “Buried Underneath,” a Halloween-season single steeped in the blood-soaked spirit of the classic Evil Dead films. “Buried Underneath” is out now from FiXT.

Cellar doors hide secrets that won’t stay buried, forbidden pages stir something ancient and hungry, and a curse spreads like wildfire through the trees, swallowing everything it touches. Atmospheric dread builds into a full-throttle eruption as the track chases its characters from possession to reckoning, landing on a single haunting truth: peace only comes once you’re buried underneath. Dropping this October, it’s the perfect soundtrack for anyone spending Halloween in a cabin they should’ve never entered.

Rising synthwave rockers Young Medicine pull the best from diverse genres to build a carefully constructed music identity that defies simple categorization. Thumping double-bass beats and crunchy guitar riffs hammer out hard-hitting rhythms while chorus lines partner with sparkling retro synth tones for a stunning mix of audio ideas. If synthwave and metal got together and started a boy band, the result might sound something like Young Medicine, who have put themselves on the map as pioneers for a new era by bringing rockstar swagger to the retrowave movement.
