FiXT is proud to announce the signing of prolific UK Drum and Bass artist Prolix, joining the label’s roster for a full-length album expected in 2024.
Prolix will be a familiar name to most hardened Drum and Bass heads, as well as FiXT fans, with a back catalog that has seen releases on some of the most prolific and respected labels in the industry such as RAM, Playaz & Ganja Tek, VISION, Blackout, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Viper, Virus, and Shogun Audio. His unique style of production has achieved international recognition.
Today he’s united with Ethan Cronin for a unique 90s-tinged grunge rock meshed with the drum & bass single “In Your Head.”
The Track features an ethereal vocal performance at the outset, eerily reminiscent of the Deftones before thrashing guitars and heavy rhythms take over and propel the track forward into a pure rock soundscape, only to drop into drum & bass halfway through with energetic and fierce rhythms throughout. Is it in your head?
“We’re excited to welcome Prolix into the FiXT family. His pristine production and unique incorporation of guitars with drum & bass make him a perfect fit in the FiXT universe. His recent collaborative releases on FiXT with Biometrix and Voicians along with the new single ‘In Your Head’ with Ethan Cronin set the bar for an amazing full-length album to come.”
–James Rhodes (FiXT VP & Co-Founder)
“Excited to announce the addition of Prolix to the roster. “In Your Head” marries ‘90s grunge vibes with gritty, modern drum & bass to create something completely unique. Give it a spin and go follow Prolix on socials!” – Klayton (FiXT President & Co-Founder)
“In Your Head” (feat. Ethan Cronin) is out now from independent multi-genre label FiXT.

Prolix will be a familiar name to most hardened Drum and Bass heads, with a back catalog that has seen releases on some of the most prolific and respected labels in the industry such as RAM, Playaz & Ganja Tek, VISION, Blackout, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Viper, Virus, OWSLA/MTA and Shogun Audio. His unique style of production has achieved international recognition filling Prolix with the courage he needed to establish his own imprint in 2011; cue the birth of the mighty Trendkill Records.
As his reputation has grown, Prolix has found himself collaborating with an array of top artists from across the genre such as Noisia, Misanthrop, and Icicle, as well as remixing the likes of Chase & Status, Ed Rush and Optical, and Black Sun Empire.
It was his work for Chase & Status that led to an introduction to D&B pioneer DJ Hype which began the conception of Ganja Tek for the sole purpose of releasing his distinct sound. Since then, Prolix’s production has gone from strength to strength, securing radio support from several BBC radio DJs including Friction and Mary Ann Hobbs.
One of his most seminal releases to date was the visionary crowd-funded ‘Project Trendkill’ Album, a collaboration with Gridlok which soared to the top of the download charts and into every self-respecting DJ’s record bag the world over. Teaming up with Gridlok drew the attention of RAM Records head honcho Andy C, and their debut 12″ of ‘Membrane’ and ‘Babylon’ devastated sound systems worldwide.
Other landmark releases for Prolix include Crater on Renegade Hardware with Nocturnal, Asteroids on VISION with NOISIA, On Like That EP with MC Coppa, and the Transcendent EP on Trendkill featuring collabs with Misanthrop, Mob Tactics, Rido, Meth, and MC Coppa.
Having toured America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Prolix is well known for his high-energy, floor-filling DJ sets. As well as doing his own headline shows across Europe, he has also shared the stage with some of the top names in drum and bass including Chase & Status, Subfocus, and Pendulum.
With Trendkill continuing to gather a strong and dedicated following release after release, and since having signed to Shogun and releasing his smash debut single “Nature of Reality,” Prolix is on track to becoming one of the biggest artists in the scene.
Prolix signed to the independent multi-genre label FiXT in late 2022.

Favorite Band When you were in High School?
Pendulum, Depeche Mode, 311, Nine Inch Nails, and Celldweller! Happy to report that all these bands are still a few of my all-time favorites! Thanks for having banger taste in music, high-school-era Summer.
Who was the first FiXT artist’s Music You Heard? Where/How? (even if you didn’t know it was a FiXT artist at the time)
Celldweller! Around 2009 I had just discovered Pendulum, which was my introduction to electronic music. A friend linked me the Celldweller remix of Pendulum’s “Propane Nightmares” and I was OBSESSED. I started looking around for any other Celldweller tracks I could find on Youtube, and gradually pieced together Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head: Vol. 1 on my iPod mini! A couple years later, my mom (who is the best mom in the WORLD!!) got me a dubstep compilation album for my birthday, which included two remixed tracks originally by The Anix, and I was immEDIATELY HOOKED. So I have Celldweller and The Anix to thank for leading me to FiXT!!
Interesting Fact About Something You Do or Have Done that is non-music related:
I love raising praying mantids!! They’re my favorite little critters ever!! My two main mantis babies were Cleo, a brown Chinese mantis, and Goro, a giant Asian mantis!! I’m always ogling new mantis species I could raise the next summer. I’ll ramble for years about how much I love praying mantids. I’ll show you 8274829734932 pictures of my mantis babies and that is a threat. I just love praying mantids!!!
Dream Collab You’d Like to See a FiXT Artist Work On
In a perfect world, where anything is possible, when the planets and stars align, I would do horrible things to hear a Celldweller and Nine Inch Nails collab. HOO MAMA!! (other than that, literally ANY FiXT artist collaborating with Korn or Pendulum!!!!) ((maybe also a Soul Extract track featuring Klayton?? I’d do anything. Anything.))
Favorite Thing To Collect:
Godzilla merchandise! Especially anything with Gigan! Anything!! Everything Gigan-related!! Gigan!!!! I want to have a Gigan museum in my house!! I will be the world’s Gigan lorekeeper!!!! I WILL BECOME ONE WITH GIGAN. (I also collect pointy red sunglasses (may or may not be related to Gigan) – I always have a pair of red sunglasses glued to my face, they don’t come off)
Favorite Sport or Sports Team:
I love football and hockey!! I come from a family of diehard Green Bay Packer fans, so I’m a lifelong cheesehead! I’ll always root for the Browns, Bengals, and Seahawks too though!! Our favorite hockey teams are the Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks, and Vegas Golden Knights!
Favorite Video Game:
SNATCHER!! It’s a relatively obscure game written and designed by Hideo Kojima before his Metal Gear series really took off, and its worldbuilding and storytelling has had me in an inspirational CHOKEHOLD for years – I’ve never been more enthralled with a game’s plot, setting, music, and characters!! If you’re into graphic adventures, gritty, spooky cyberpunk settings, murder mysteries, or bio-android bodysnatchers that tear people apart and assume their identities as they spread across the planet like a plague, check out Snatcher! I’d feel horrible if I ignored some other favorite games though, so shout-out to Godzilla: Save the Earth, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Kirby Air Ride, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and the entire Metal Gear Solid series!!
Favorite Movie or Movie Genre:
ANYTHING WITH GODZILLA. Anything with a kaiju in it, period!! Godzilla! Gamera! Pacific Rim!! (we don’t talk about the second one) I just love giant monster flicks!!! If you want me to recite any Godzilla movie I’ll do it on command. The whole movie. Strap in. It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite Godzilla movie, I love all of them sO MUCH… I JUST REALLY REALLY LOVE GODZILLA MOVIES Some of my favorite movies that lack a giant monster are Twister, Blade Runner, Jurassic Park, and Lupin III The First! Am I allowed to mention Mystery Science Theater 3000? Every episode is my favorite movie.

Thank you for taking me along for this ride, and for humoring all my nonsense!! FiXT, the artist-owned, independent record label, publisher, and merch company from artist/producer Klayton (Celldweller, Scandroid), has added Dave Hansen to the company’s label team as the company’s A&R Manager.
Reporting to FiXT’s owner/founder and A&R Director Klayton, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge across the worlds of rock, metal and EDM, and multi-genre combinations thereof, for which FiXT is known.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining the FiXT team as the new A&R Manager! I’ve been a fan of Celldweller ever since 2004 when I was handed his 4 track demo CD on the street outside of a Chicago concert. I’m a vocalist and producer, as well as a huge fan of electronic metal, so I couldn’t think of a more perfect job for myself. Everyone on the staff has been extremely welcoming, and I can’t wait to get to know the artists more and see how I can help them grow in their music careers.”
– Dave Hansen
Besides heading up his own solo project BVLVNCE, Dave also has an extensive background in the music industry as a vocalist, producer, and audio engineer. He’s spent many years in metalcore bands but moved into the EDM/Metal fusion space in 2017 with BVLVNCE. He’s also worked as a technician, operations manager, and sales manager in the corporate audio/visual event production industry in his professional history.
“Knowing that Dave has his ear to the ground with emerging artists and musical styles, as well his ability to listen to music critically from a producer’s standpoint, gets me excited about having him on the FiXT team. I work the closest with FiXT’s A&R department and having Dave in this role is a critical step for the growth of the label.” – Klayton (FiXT President/Owner)
As A&R Manager at FiXT, Dave will be working closely with the company’s executive team, including Vice President & Co-Founder – James Rhodes, Label Manager – Heather Johnson, and Operations Manager – Kurtis Redden.
“I’ve had the immense pleasure of working with Dave as both an artist and as an industry professional. Not only does he have the creativity of a talented artist and producer but he also has the business acumen of an entrepreneur who realizes that part of being an independent artist means running your own business. I believe he will be an invaluable asset to the team as we grow and develop our current roster and the next generation of FiXT artists.”
– Heather Johnson (FiXT Label Manager)
“The addition of Dave to the FiXT team is also a testament of our commitment to our 25+ artist roster, to better serve and support their careers, as well as pave the way for more artists to join the family. Dave has incredible knowledge across not only the metal and EDM landscapes, but an ear for new genres and trends that will surely lead to exciting new artists on the roster. I’m excited to see the value he will bring to not only the company and our artists, but to the entire FiXT community and fanbase!“

FiXT Signs The Future Punk Pioneer
Resurrects Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E.
FiXT is proud to announce the signing of future punk act The Plague. After working together in 2017 for The Plague’s remix of “Embracing Entropy” from FiXT-label-owner Klayton’s project Circle of Dust, a friendship was born and has led to a new multi-album deal together.
“Celldweller and FiXT have been an important influence on The Plague’s music and attitude,” states The Plague. “I am so excited to see where the collaboration takes us!”
Trailblazing and fierce, The Plague was created to spread a message of hope, and to rebel against growing self-destructive ideals. The Plague’s post-apocalyptic themes portray the struggles of being human, encouraging people to break free of the superficial and to know they are not alone.
“Those of you familiar with my project Circle of Dust may recognize The Plague from his remix of “Embracing Entropy,” states Klayton (Celldweller, Circle Of Dust, Scandroid) “I couldn’t be more excited to announce his signing to FiXT. His songs are heavy, electronic, extremely infectious, and top-notch from the songwriting all the way down to the vocals, guitar riffs, and electronic sound design. If you don’t believe me, check out “Danger” and you can thank me later.”
With the announcement of the signing comes the re-release of the debut album Hope For The F.U.T.U.R.E. with brand new art, mixing, and mastering, plus some bonus tracks/remixes, throughout 2022, ahead of a new album coming in 2023. The Plague’s debut single with FiXT, “Danger”, is a turbulent vision of the world around us. Featuring driving guitar riffs, a powerful vocal performance, and thought-provoking lyrics, “Danger” is a warning call to wake up to the reality surrounding us.
“David has been on a short list of artists we’ve wanted to work with for several years and I’m glad the timing finally came together for us to make it happen,” states James Rhodes (FiXT, VP & Co-Founder). “We want to help bring his music to a much bigger audience and get him the recognition he deserves!”
“Danger” is out now from independent multi-genre music label FiXT.
The Plague is the brainchild of producer/engineer David Adam Monroe, a pioneer of Future Punk. The Plague’s post-apocalyptic themes portray the struggles of being human, encouraging people to break free of the superficial and to know they are not alone.
David has been playing music from an early age, highly encouraged by his parents, he received an electric guitar at age ten and took off emulating his favorite bands at the time; Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, and other 90’s rock bands. His career took off at age 16 when a promoter got his high school band on the Van’s Warped Tour.
As a producer/engineer, David has produced records with many artists including Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols and multi-platinum engineer Earl Cohen. As a musician, he has toured internationally–including 4 years on Van’s Warped Tour– and has played with bands such as Tony Levin, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, NoFx, The Used, Yellow Card, Three Days Grace, and many more. The Plague’s debut album Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. was released independently in 2017.
In 2018 The Plague remixed Circle Of Dust’s “Embracing Entropy” (feat. Celldweller), through artist-owned record label FiXT. The Plague eventually signed to FiXT in 2022, and is re-releasing the debut album with remastered tracks, new art and bonus tracks throughout the year, ahead of a new album coming in 2023.
“My goal with The Plague was to make futuristic Christian rock, when I was producing bands in Boston, my assistant showed me Celldweller and said, “This guy is dope and reminds me of you!” I chased Celldweller’s blend of synths and guitars, and that exploration process helped me discover my own sound. When I finished the record I emailed James (FiXT Manager) with the spirit of a little brother and said, “Hey James, look! I self-produced a futuristic rock record that I’m releasing on my label! You guys inspired this!” By some wonderful miracle he was excited too!” – The Plague
