The Bad Dreamers Release “She’s Really Not That Into You”

July 29, 2020
Artist News
The Bad Dreamers

The Bad Dreamers is back with a soulful, indie pop creation that harkens back to past decades while forging a fresh sound for 2020. “She’s Really Not That Into You” brings The Bad Dreamers’ characteristic vocal hooks and high-caliber songwriting to an upbeat, sunny anthem — with a twist. “She’s Really Not That Into You” is out now on all platforms from independent retro synth label FiXT Neon.

“She’s Really Not That Into You'” is a true story about what happens when we mistreat someone who simply deserves better. A friend of mine got romantically involved with a guy who just totally blew it with her; at one point, it felt like I was watching the breakup scene from Can’t Hardly Wait happen in real life. I wanted this song to reflect that era of ’90s alternative music by pulling inspiration from bands like The Cure or Gin Blossoms and to feel as hilarious, ironic and emotional as that experience can feel in real life.”

NUTRONIC Contemplates Humankind’s “Futures”

July 27, 2020
Artist News, Artist Press
Futures, Nutronic

Through the lens of an introspective, melodic songwriting style, NUTRONIC contemplates humankind’s impact on our environment and considers the course of history with their brand new track, “Futures.” The song is the latest single and the title track off NUTRONIC’s upcoming full-length album, Futures, and is available now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT.

We took to an electronic-focused sound on this breakbeat song. Jeremy was in the mood for vocoders and a sombered tone. Lyrically, “Futures” signals an existential plea with the current state of affairs. Nick’s floating guitar lines and reverb put the energetic beats in a thick atmosphere. Tense verses lead to a hopeful chorus. Combining these meditative tones with energetic rhythms was not an easy compromise, but it’s one of the most addicting challenges for us. We tried to say a lot in this song, and it was hard not to overcomplicate it. We hope the emotional dynamics impact our listeners in the same way it impacted us in the creative process.
