Zero Hour Has Arrived

September 27, 2024
Artist News, Artist Press
CANTERVICE, Fixt

Zero Hour is upon us! CANTERVICE has released their bombshell debut album, out now from FiXT!

CANTERVICE steps up with a dark vision of the dystopian future with Zero Hour. “We stand on the precipice of an era where the shadows of oppression grow larger with every passing day. The world as we knew it is gone. Someone hit the reset switch and there were those standing by waiting to take advantage of the chaos,” explains CANTERVICE. Using an electrifying fusion of metalcore, alternative metal, and hard rock, Zero Hour features ten metalcore/alternative metal tracks and is testament to CANTERVICE’s ability to blend fierce energy with intricate musical compositions. Tracks like “The Masquerade” have already amassed over one million streams across all platforms since inception. The album is packed with powerful anthems that push the boundaries of metalcore, alternative metal, and hard rock. With synthesizers, thrashing guitars, pounding drums, and driving bass lines, CANTERVICE delivers a relentless sonic experience that is both innovative and intense.

Singles like “Doomsday” produced, mixed, and mastered by RIAA Gold and Billboard charting producer/engineer Cameron Mizell, best known for his work with Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, and The Word Alive set a high standard for the album. “What I love most about the album is the experience it provides,” explains Cam Mizell. “Robert & his team did a fantastic job creating a theme/vibe/world that the listener can immerse themselves in. Futuristic & perhaps post or pre apocalyptic themes are carried throughout the album in a way that tells a much larger story. A relatable story. As you listen through & connect with Robert’s lyrics, you really start to feel that you are living in the world of CANTERVICE. My goal was simply to catch that vibe & amplify it  Big thanks to CANTERVICE & FiXT for having me on this album! It’s been a pleasure front to back. Enjoy!!!”

Other stand out compositions on Zero Hour include “Into The Dark” which portrays a character who descends into the depths of madness and isolation in a society on the brink of collapse; and “The Masquerade” which establishes its strength with a fierce layer of synthesizers, coupled with the thunderous rhythms, razor-edged guitar riffs, and brutal vocals; and alt-metal single “Blackout” described as an anthem for a rising generation picks up the dystopian-themed story from the citizens’ point of view. This debut album shines with CANTERVICE‘s unique blend of hard-hitting music and poignant lyrics, a perfect example of sonic story telling at its best. The band goes on to explain, “We’re now staring down the barrel of a future that threatens to annihilate our very humanity. We sacrifice privacy for convenience, freedom for the illusion of security, and our very lives are mirrored in cyberspace, available for anyone to exploit, whilst we’re too distracted by our modern vices to care. However, I stand before you to say that our destiny is not written in stone, but only if we stand not as victims, but as architects of our future. We must unite, and not under the banners that you see to the left and to the right, but as citizens of the Earth forging a new path together. Lift your heads and join us in bringing the dawn of a new era. We have worlds to win, and nothing left to lose. This is our new beginning. This is our Zero Hour.”

The complete track listing for Zero Hour is:

  1. Zero Hour
  2. Doomsday
  3. Blackout
  4. The Masquerade
  5. Into the Dark
  6. Point of No Return

FiXT Announces Company Rebrand, Launches EDM Label Division, 6 New Artist Signings

July 13, 2021
Artist News, Artist Press, Label News
Fixt, FiXT Neon, FiXT Noir

Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary

“Some of you already know I’ve signed several bad records deals in my career. That prompted me early on to create my own independent label, FiXT. We wondered through the years if we could survive as a label, and here we are 15 years later, with the biggest and best roster, staff and resources we’ve ever had, and there’s a lot more to come.”

– Klayton (President & Founder, FiXT)

Los Angeles, California – FiXT, the independent, artist-owned record label from artist/producer Klayton (best known for his projects Celldweller, Scandroid, and Circle of Dust), has announced a full company rebrand today. In addition to visual branding changes, FiXT announced major updates to its 2 existing label divisions, FiXT and FiXT Neon, along with launching a 3rd, all-new EDM division, FiXT Noir.

FiXT’s rock/metal division, which has been operating since 2006, has been re-branded as FiXT Radium. The label has announced 4 new exclusive artist signings – the division’s first female fronted electronic-rock project, Daedric, UK electro-nu-core 6-piece Seething Akira, Eastern Europe electro-metal duo Nitroverts, and Canada-based artist Richy Nix with his metal meets hip-hop fusion. The new signings join FiXT Radium’s existing roster featuring The Algorithm, The Anix, Becko, Celldweller, Circle of Dust, Fight The Fade, I Will Never Be The Same, NUTRONIC, Raizer, Soul Extract, Voicians, and Void Chapter.

FiXT Neon, the company’s synthwave, indie pop, and chillwave division, which launched in 2018, has announced the exclusive signing of retro synth pop duo Nouveau Arcade, based out of Washington. The project joins FiXT Neon’s existing artist roster, including Ace Marino, The Bad Dreamers, Cassetter, DEADLIFE, Essenger, FreqGen, Fury Weekend, LeBrock, Mega Drive, Moonrunner83, OVRGRWN, Polyark, PRIZM, Scandroid, Signal Void, and Young Medicine.

“I absorbed a lot of electronic music through the ’80s and ’90s and that would eventually lead to the sound of Celldweller. For those who have been following, you know that I’ve collaborated with some big names in EDM, and FiXT operated the world’s largest EDM merch store for many years. So here it is, 2021, and I’m really excited to announce the launch of FiXT’s brand new EDM label division, FiXT Noir.”

– Klayton (President & Founder, FiXT)

FiXT Noir, the company’s all new EDM label division announced the debut exclusive roster signing of UK metal/drum & bass producer Toronto Is Broken, along with upcoming releases from a wide ranging list of artists, including: Celldweller, Biometrix, Teddy Killerz, KJ Sawka, Becko, Aktive, Tenebrax, Glacier, Elliot Berger, Social Kid, BVLVNCE, Zardonic, Blosso, Everen Maxwell, Similar Outskirts, Tadeusz, Everything Must Go, A_Rival, Too Kind, Ian Snow, Totto, Deuce & Charger, Punker, Gazz, Foxhunt, Matt Neux, Natty Campbell, Killin Void, Asteroid Afterparty, KYB, Timian, Neddie, Mattsh, NVFNAL, Shaded Grains, Only Kidding, and more.

FiXT Noir launches with its debut release “Traction” by Neddie, out everywhere July 14th, with Toronto Is Broken’s full-length album Clare featuring an all new remix from Zardonic dropping July 16th. The label’s release schedule will consist of dual releases each week moving forward.

Watch The Full Announcement Event:

Celebrating the company’s 15 year anniversary milestone, FiXT revealed it reaches millions of listeners each month and has accrued billions of streams and thousands of Film/TV/Video Game placements across its catalog. The company highlighted industry membership associations with A2iM (American Association of Independent Music), Merlin, and FUGA, providing its artists with industry leading distribution, premium DSP deals, and relationships.

FiXT Partners With Cyberspline In New BoomBox VR Game

March 8, 2021
Artist News, Artist Press
Fixt

FiXT is proud to announce a partnership with Cyberspline Games, providing a soundtrack of premium in-game songs to the exciting new VR rhythm game BoomBox, along with 100 pre-cleared tracks for community mapping. This is a pioneering relationship between music rights and the gaming studio, allowing gamers to not fear DMCAs and safely and officially enjoy community mapping and competitions.

BoomBox is a rhythmically enhanced VR music experience, available now in early access on Steam, and coming soon to the Oculus and PSVR stores. BoomBox stands alongside established titles like Beat Saber and Synth Riders while contributing its own twists to the genre, providing an evolving game environment built around pounding drums while dodging obstacles. From doubling as a fitness routine or dance-fest to stepping up to challenge the leaderboards, BoomBox is just as focused on casual VR music-rhythm-game fans as it is for level mappers looking to create something to share with the community.

The game currently features 11 official in-game FiXT songs, including tracks from Celldweller, Scandroid, The Algorithm, Essenger, 3FORCE, and others, with more to be added, along with 100 community level tracks available for mappers to take, create and share with other users, without the fear of DMCAs or content-strikes.

Known for empowering the gaming community with Twitch-safe music, YouTube-friendly policies, and a history of building unique music partnerships with game developers through a catalog of 3,000+ tracks across electronic-rock, metal, EDM, synthwave, and synth pop genres, FiXT sees the combination of including in-game songs + officially licensed community level tracks for BoomBox as an evolutionary step to bring together music and gaming fans.

“We were lost while looking for the right music partner: integrating the music into the game is very hard due to DMCAs and the limited experience of music companies working around the game needs. FiXT believed in us, understood, and supported us very professionally, they were there to hold our hand which resulted in such a fantastic music selection for the main gameplay. This is a pioneer collaboration between a game studio and music studio which allows our gamers to create, share and stream officially their own maps based on 100 pre-cleared songs from FiXT. The FiXT style is unique and fits our game very well and we are excited to share their music with BoomBox players.”
– Ekaterina Nosova – CEO, Cyberspline Games

“This partnership perfectly captures the vision of combining music and gaming into an experiential product. We’re proud to working with creative visionaries like Cyberspline and bring a catalog of music available to their customers and community!”
 – James Rhodes – Vice President & Co-Founder, FiXT

FiXT Radium Releases Version 5’s “Say Goodbye”

January 6, 2021
Artist News, Artist Press
Fixt

The FiXT: Radium compilation reaches red-hot levels with the high-octane new track, “Say Goodbye.” The song wastes no time getting down to business, jumping directly into a bouncy riff and energetic rhythm before taking listeners through a rollercoaster ride of thrilling peaks and valleys.

Say Goodbye is the highest octane tune we’ve written to date. We wanted it to hit hard from the get-go, with a guitar riff, vicious verse layers and a big chorus payoff. Version 5 is all about the fine line of pop sensibilities, aggressive beats and slamming guitars.

– Version 5

“Say Goodbye” is out now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT.
